Mentor

Students cannot run a team alone, mentors are needed to help in every area of the team! Interested adults can help with CAD, communications, design, electrical engineering, fabrication, finance, media, programming, strategy, and much more. As an adult, it is one of the greatest things you can do to support, and help the team grow. If you are interested in mentoring the team,  or have any questions, please email us at [email protected]. Mentorship is typically an ongoing commitment, but we also welcome shorter-term commitments or one-off teaching opportunities such as hosting a workshop in an area of expertise.

Attend/Serve

Our team is supported by the MinuteBot Boosters, our nonprofit boosters organization. While students handle the majority of the team's grant writing, sponsor recruitment, and donations efforts, the boosters organization handles finances and other aspects of team operations. They always welcome parent/guardian involvement, either by attending Booster meetings or serving on the Booster board. Meetings are held online and generally take place on the first Tuesday of every month. If you're interested or want more information, please email [email protected].

Other opportunities

There are many additional ways to get involved and support our team. For example, we always need meal donations during the competition season (January through April), since our team typically meets over dinner at least two days per week and over lunch on Saturdays. We also often need parent chaperones to travel with the team to competitions, and we always need donations for our snack cabinet in the workshop to keep students powered up after school! For other ideas or for more information, please email us at [email protected].
